Basically when the coldness increases in the brain, it increases the chance of depression and other diseases.
However usually the depression occurs due to emotional reason (s) but what makes it worse is using cold type of foods and a wrong diet.
So there are 2 elements: Emotional/spiritual and physical (food and climate)
Example for the first one is China and USA which are the countries with the highest rate of depression according to the statistics.
Having no beliefs and spiritual relations through a religion is a cause of depression and suicide as we see Atheism and not following any religion is common in US and China.
The interesting thing in the official statistics is that the Islamic countries are at the end of this list which shows they have the least suicide and depression in the world.
Example for the second reason is South Korea and Japan which are the two countries with high rate of suicide.
Cold and humid weather and having Fish and rice as regular food of people are 2 common reasons which makes the brain cold and that can lead into depression and suicide. Islamic scholars believe when the brain becomes cold, decision making and planning firmly will be difficult and this coldness can spread into all organs of the body.
In fact people with cold temperament are more potential to become depressed.
Another common reason of depression and making the body cold is taking chemical medicines.
For example the women having caesarean delivery are much more potential to be depressed than those who have natural delivery and that’s mostly because of the chemicals injections and the strong medicines which cause numbness.
❌ What to avoid:
Generally cold type of foods should be limited. Sour foods are mostly cold type such as orange, tamarind, kiwi, lemon.
As well as dairies, rice, watermelon, cold water and fast foods are also cold type.
In case of using the cold types, you can add the Muslih or the moderator to moderate the coldness; for example black seed or cumin with the rice, date or honey with the milk, salt with cucumber, honey with lemon juice, etc.
🍯 What to eat:
Unlike the first group, here the warm type of foods will help. Dates, apple, Grape syrup, whole wheat bread, honey, etc are considered warm. You can check the list of cold and warm type of foods on our website:
🍽 Specific foods:
– Juice of soaked black raisins (250gr should be soaked in half liter of warm water for 24 hours. then each 8 hours one table spoon of that water)
– Mint tea
– The tea of bitter orange’s blossom (Bahar Naranj)
🌸 What to smell:
As we mentioned, the coldness of our brain is the main cause of depression. So smelling warm types of perfumes boosts the healing of depression. Steaming Rosemary and smelling Daffodil and rose flower or their perfumes are good options.
🍃 What to watch:
Watching the sea (generally water), green scenery and nature are recommended. As well wearing yellow color clothes helps removing the depression
💡 Other tips:
-At nights before sleeping you can apply natural oils like olive or black seed on your head and sole.
– Try to be with friends or relatives and avoid loneliness
– Praying and spiritual activities help removing the depression
